On 17 August, FC Madras opened its doors to 56 young footballers from Hindu Senior Secondary School for the first School Connect Exposure Tour — a new initiative designed to bring schools into the world of high-performance sport, education, and life at FC Madras.
But this was never meant to be just a campus tour.
The Visit
From the moment the students arrived, the experience was designed to challenge, inspire, and show glimpses of what failure and success look like — on and off the pitch.
The visit began with an introduction to FC Madras’ culture and the meaning of its identity: “Champions for Life” — developing athletes and people, not just players.
Students moved through an interactive touring covering discipline, consistency, communication and the mindset of high performers. They heard from members of staff and high performers about their personal stories of drive, resilience, and focus.
A Glimpse Into School Connect
Fifty-six students. One campus. A day they will carry with them.
The classroom experience allowed students to speak directly with current academy players and academy coaches.
This was complemented by a guided campus and facilities tour, where the students experienced first-hand the space and environment that shape their daily development.
One of the most engaging moments came during an interactive session on Leadership and Resilience, where the players shared personal stories about growth through struggle and the lessons they have learned about character, consistency, and focus.
Walking into the stadium, meeting the coaches, and engaging with the people who live here every day — the experience makes the environment offer simply a campus tour.
You don’t have to become a footballer to learn from football.
Discipline

Resilience
Excellence
Long-Term Partnerships, Not One-Day Visits
That is the spirit behind School Connect — building meaningful ties between schools and the world-class training centre, and helping students see how discipline, teamwork, and leadership apply far beyond the pitch.
The partnership with Hindu Senior Secondary School is just beginning — encouraging, and the first of many such exciting programmes.
The doors are open.
The journey has begun.
Come experience the world of FC Madras.
